Welcome to my Handsome Geoffery Page. Other than just winning the National Final of the Rockquest, they also won the Rockquests Ice TV Image award, giving them a live TV apperance on Ice TV, Channel Four, which screened only recently (11th October). And thats not all, the girls also won themselves a heap of gear from the New Zealand Rock Shop, a gig at the Sweetwaters festivals in 1999, and recording time in Auckland Handsome Geoffrey consists of three Hamilton Girls High School 7th formers, and are the first ever all girl band to win the Xtrasmokefree Rock Quest. They are Anna C. - guitarist and lead vocals, Aidee W. - drums, backing vocals, and Janna H. - base guitar. Their songs are all orginal songs written by lead vocalist Anna, who also won the DARE Songwriting award at the Rock Quest. These songs include: Claire's Pretty My Dog Fire Around the Sun and many more They have also had 'Claire's Pretty' recorded as part of the things they had to do for the Finals, and broadcasted over The Edge 97.8FM, before, and it is still being played, the Rockquest Finals. This song either did make it into the Top 20, or was almost in, for several nights in a row after the first broadcasting. Sorry - there are no pics right now - am waiting to see if i can use some from the Rockquest page, and scanning is difficult right now (no scanner!) This page is still under construction, and will possibly be for a while - while I collect the pics I need (if there are any others) etc but please visit as often as you like, as I will put on new info when I get any. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
